Now that we have reopened and you and your family plan for your next visit, know that Blue & Gold Fleet is happy and ready to welcome you back aboard.

For over 40 years we have been committed to operating in a safe, environmentally responsible, and quality manner. We are committed to delivering the highest quality of service through consistent, reliable and professional experiences that exceed our passengers’ expectations. As we continue to evolve to minimize risk in our operations during the pandemic, additional precautions are necessary to ensure the health and safety of you, our customers and the Blue & Gold Fleet crew.

We have been closely monitoring guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health agencies, as well as consulting with in-house and outside experts to expand our existing Standard of Clean protocols.  We will continue to actively monitor the situation and make necessary adjustments based on public health recommendations, emerging science and new technologies.

  • Face masks are required on board all our tours and ferries for passengers 3 years old and up
  • All Blue & Gold Fleet employees will be wearing masks and gloves and will be screened upon arrival to work
  • Our Guest Representatives will scan tickets at our San Francisco facility to avoid transfer of paper tickets
  • Vessel crew members sanitize high touch areas on the vessel and the facility before, during and after every shift
  • All vessels in use are undergoing full disinfectant fogging twice a week.
  • Hand sanitizers are on every vessel
  • Social distancing requirements are in place
  • Vessels capacities have been reduced significantly to allow for maximum distancing between guests. This means more room for you and your family to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the San Francisco Bay

  • Guest will be able to purchase tickets on the Blue & Gold Website with the option to print at home or store those tickets in your phone to reduce interaction at the box office
  • Reservations are now required on all our San Francisco Bay Cruises and Escape From the Rock Cruises
  • At the PIER 39 and PIER 41 box office contactless payment systems have been installed where applicable
  • Credit Card machines are sanitized throughout the day
  • Physical barriers such as windows and plexiglass have been installed at the ticket booths and on our ferry vessels
  • Our Guest Representatives are available at the box office and around the boarding gates in San Francisco to remind guests to keep proper social distance
  • Additional signage has been added around the San Francisco property to remind guests to keep proper social distance
  • Our Guest Representatives will scan tickets at our San Francisco facility to reduce the exchange of paper tickets
  • Guests who booked tickets with a third-party reseller should contact the reseller directly for assistance
  • CityPASS ticket holders  – CityPASS guests will receive the next available time upon arrival and do not need advance reservations. Present your CityPASS at the PIER 39 box office ticket window to obtain a boarding pass. Please arrive 30 minutes before desired departure time.  Learn more here.
